Bike to Work Day is Thursday, May 10th
For 2012's Bike to Work Day on May 10th, over 200 Energizer Stations will be located along local bike commute routes in all nine Bay Area counties to provide free beverages, snacks and good cheer to bicyclists. To view a map  the Energizer Stations click here.

Cinderella’s Ball Ballet Show Tickets

BART Senior and Disabled Tickets Are Being Replaced by Clipper

By the end of December 2011, the green Senior and red youth/disabled BART ticket will be replaced by the Senior Clipper, youth Clipper or the Regional Transit Connection Clipper Card (for passengers with qualifying disabilities). These Clipper cards are specially encoded to automatically calculate the discounted cash fare or monthly pass fare each time you use Clipper. The minimum age for youths is 5 years old, and the minimum age for seniors is 65 years old. The maximum age for youths varies by transit agency.

Senior Affordable Housing Project

The City of Orinda selected Eden Housing, LLC to develop affordable senior housing at 2 Irwin Way (site of the former library).  Development of affordable housing is mandated by state law and compliance with state housing laws allows the City of Orinda to receive over $300,000 in road maintenance funds annually through Measure J.

Sharps and Pharmaceutical Disposal Collection Box

Orinda residents can dispose of their used needles, syringes, lancets and other sharp-edged medical devices at Orinda City Hall.  To dispose of your sharps, visit the Administration Lobby located on the top floor of the Orinda City Hall, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.  The offices are closed on weekends and weekdays between the hours of 12 Noon and 1pm.
